
Win-River's current hotel has 84 rooms, while its existing casino covers about 60,000 square feet. The Rancheria's proposed project to relocate Win-River casino to Strawberry Fields includes a 69,541-square-foot casino, a 9-story, 250-room hotel, restaurants, a conference center, an event center, retail and parking. Tribal officials have said the casino's expansion and move to a more visible location would draw more patrons, create hundreds of new jobs and bring a new wave of economic development to the region. Saying that local opposition caused concern among federal decision makers within the then-Trump presidential administration, the tribe in May 2020 temporarily halted consideration of its relocation plan.
